  • Notes
    • Catherine (Catharine) (Catrina/Cathrina) Van Vleckeren, b. 1750, Fishkill, Dutchess Co., NY, d. 1822 Newtown, L.I., NY; m. Dec. 14, 1771 (lic.), Derick (Dirck) Brinckerhoff, Jr. (NY Marriages previous to 1784 M.B. Vol. XVII, Page 294: 1771, Dec. 14, Van Vlackreh, Catrina and Dirck Brinkenhoff, Jr.), he b. April 9, 1750, d. circa 1822 in Long Island, NY, ? son of Jacob and Elizabeth (Lent) Brinckerhoff. Although "Jr: is listed after Dirck's name, he was probably the son of Jacob and Elizabeth as his first child's name was Elizabeth (probably named after Dirck's mother, second child named after Catherine's father, and third child named after his father which fits Dutch naming patterns. The "Jr" could have been affixed to Dirck's name to refer to him as a nephew (nephews often used a Jr. to distinguish them from an uncle). After his marriage he moved to Long Island. He and his two daughters joined the Newtown, L.I. church on May 13, 1809, and Catharine "Van Vlackron", his wife, became a member on May 11, 1811. Children (Brinckerhoff):

      Elizabeth Brinckerhoff, b. 1772
      Aaron Brinckerhoff, b. 1774
      Jacob Brinckerhoff, b. 1777
      Anna Catherine Brinckerhoff
