    Family James Van Vlack
    Notes
    • Another family group has emerged that has not as yet traced their lineage back far enough to have a tie-in to an ancestor presently listed in Booklet II or this supplement. James and his descendants lived in southern Dutchess County among many other Van Vlack families for 150 years and there seems little doubt that they belong to the Dutchess County family.

Byron Kent Van Vlack III (J47) who provided the names and biographies here remembers his family mentioning only that great grandfather?s name was James and his wife was Agnes. They lived in Stormville, N.Y. all their lives and he was a farmer. Until such time as the record of James? tie-in is found and placed in the tables, he and his descendants will be listed separately with the identifying letter ?J? James as ?J? would relate to (Marinus Ml as Marinus? descendant at about the 6th generation.

They are buried in the old Methodist Cemetery, Beacon, N.Y., no headstone to give a clue to the above missing information. Perhaps in a library or successor Methodist church are the records of the old church. Hopefully contemporary descendants of James and Agnes will find their ancestral tie-in.
