Pleasant Cem), Town of Sterling, m. Anna (Annie) W.(?) Hamilton, she b. Nov. 30 (Dec. 1), 1831, d. May 13, 1880, bd. Sterling Center Cem (a.k.a. Mt. Pleasant Cem). He is listed among the Civil War veterans in Hannibal and was a Corporal in Co. F, 110th N.Y. Inf., mustered in on Aug. 25, 1862 and discharged with his regt. In the 1860 Federal Census for Oswego Co., he was listed as being a carpenter. Son Bruce was listed in the 1880 Census as being born in Sterling, Cayuga Co., NY and in the 1870 Census, Elias and wife "Ann" were listed as living in Town of Sterling, Victory Post Office, Cayuga Co., NY so all children were probably born in Sterling, Cayuga Co., NY.
