    • Abigail Paddock Van Vlack, b. March 1847 at Wheeling, IL. Moved with widowed mother at age 5 to Wirt County, W. VA, d. Dec. 10, 1915. Married on Dec. 10, 1867 a first cousin Erastus Porter Daggett, he b. June 6, 1832, d. March 18, 1927. He was the son of George Daggett, he b. 1809, Toronto, Canada, d. 1886, m. Delilah Aldrich at Fort Madison, Iowa Territory, she b. 1819 in New York. All are buried in Palestine Cemetery, Elizabeth, Wirt County, W. VA. Erastus moved in 1848 with his parents from Fort Madison to Reedy Creek, Wirt County, VA (now W. VA) settling on a farm there. Erastus enlisted for the Civil War in Co. B of the 7th Regiment Volunteers and was wounded at Antietam Creek, Md in 1862. He was a member of the Church of Christ, of excellent character, well informed, knew the Bible from front to back and could quote much scripture, according to Daggett genealogical records. Children:
