Notes - James Henry DeLong, b. 1802; m. Polly Ostrander, she b. 1800, dau of Peter and Catharina (Perslo) Ostrander. The DeLong Genealogy states that Arie may have had a son James. It also mentions that he became known as Henry DeLong and that he married a "Pollie" (no last name given) and had a son John in Pompey. Sophia DeLong's death certificate lists Henry Delong and Polly Ostrander as her parents and Jamesville as her birthplace. With all of the known DeLongs eliminated, it appears that Sophia's father, Henry, is the James/Henry in the DeLong Genealogy. Jamesville and Pompey are within 10 miles of each other (Corr. Carl Hackbarth - descendant of James Henry and Sophia DeLong). "A James of what looks like Motillian, USA (3rd & 4th letters of Motillian are very unclear) appears on sheets pasted into the old Atlas owned in 1971 by Jessie deLong of Ottawa. This atlas also includes data entered re: Peter and Silence, so perhaps James was [really] a brother". Children:
