  Isaac Miller Van Vlack, b. Oct. 13, 1839 in Town of Fishkill, NY; d. March 12, 1904 at Hopewell Jct. (g.s. RDC. Cem., Hopewell); m. at Wurtsboro, Dec. 13, 1860 in Sullivan Co., NY, Martha Jane Schoonmaker (F283), she b. Sept. 17, 1838 in Ulster Co., and d. Dec. 24, 1924 at Poughkeepsie, NY, a dau. of Elijah and Mary Elizabeth (Van Vlack) (E93) Schoonmaker and the wid. of Moses S. Masten. Isaac was a lifelong farmer. He died of pneumonia at age 65 (obit). Isaac's wife Martha survived him for 20 years and was dependent on their married children for support and shelter and called herself a "suitcase lady", moving between the homes of her children from time to time. Granddaughter Carrie Rote remembers her as a lovable happy lady, and recalled grandmother Martha staying with them at her father Howard's farm on Beekman Road in Hopewell Junction.
