  Stenographer. Worked at H. J. Heinz Co. for a number of years. She was married in Aspinwall in 1915 to James A. Borland. The moved with his parents near Edinboro, Pa. to a farm and later to their own house and land. Jim worked on township roads and later county roads and became Erie County road superintendent. At one time Elsie and Jim worked at the Erie County Infirmary - Elsie as a practical nurse and Jim as a boiler engineer. They bought a home in Erie and lived there a number of years.
