  Sarah ("Sally") Van Vlack , b. Aug. 14, 1810 (g.s. Phillipsport) in East Fishkill, Dutchess Co, NY; m. before 1847, Jacobus (James) Van Keuren Terwilliger, he b. Feb. 25, 1807 in Ulster Co., NY, bpt. April 5, 1807 RDC Shawangunk, d. Feb. 26, 1877, bd. Poplar Grove Cem., Phillipsport, NY, son of Petrus Vass and Rachel (Decker) Terwilliger. In 1847, Sarah and James were living in Shawungunk. James was a shoemaker. The 1865 Census Record states there 10 children. Names of 8 of the children are known and listed below.
